    "I consider two places in this world my home: where I live now in Birmingham, U.K., and where I grew up in northern Iraq. Sadly, the rivers that I used to play in as a child have dried up, and Birmingham is one of the most polluted areas in the country. Experiencing the effects of climate change firsthand has inspired me to help the planet, ensuring future generations get to experience the magnificence of this Earth. Sustainability can be intimidating, but understanding your impact is a great first step. Did you know that plastic takes around 450 years to decompose? It's surreal, but all those disposable cups and utensils you've used are still out there somewhere. While ditching your single-use water bottle might seem like an insignificant change, it creates a huge ripple. Luckily for us, sustainability is more accessible than ever before, with brands from every industry becoming more eco-friendly. It's no different at Henry Schein. In my short time with the Company, I've seen how far we've come in reducing our negative contributions to the planet. It takes all of us, but sustainability doesn't have to mean sacrifice. There's nothing to lose but so much to gain."
